Dr. Melinda Ring serves as the Director of the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Northwestern University, as well as Clinical Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Medical Social Sciences at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. She earned her medical degree and completed her residency at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. Dr. Ring is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine and cares for patients with a wide variety of conditions and preventive health needs with a special focus on women's health.

In her roles at Northwestern, Dr. Ring oversees medical student and resident education and directs both clinical and faculty fellowships in integrative medicine. She also teaches the Cooking Up Health culinary medicine course, for which she received a certificate of Completion in Culinary Coaching from the Institute of Lifestyle Medicine and a Professional Plant-Based Cook Certification from the cooking school RouxBe.

Dr. Ring has been in practice for more than 20 years. In addition to her work at Northwestern, she also serves as board vice-chair for the American Board of Integrative Medicine, on the Steering Committee of the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine and Health and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine and Global Advances in Health and Medicine.
